Broberg is worth a 2nd and you have a 2nd in already,so two 2nds is about the same as a 1st,so i would do it.but the leafs want Tanev and they would give a 1st or fraser minten and there not just up the hwy.

Flames arent going to make the playoffs and hes a UFA. They probably want something in return rather than having him walk for nothing so I dont think it matters where he goes as long as he waives his NTC

yes they are moving him.but if its a 1st from the leafs or two 2nds from the oil,hes going east not north.i think the trades fair,but the leafs will match at the very least.

Calgary declines. Broberg can't even make the oilers defense he isn't worth more than a 2nd (if that) making the offer light for Tanev even without retention and very light for an offer from the Flames biggest rival.

I think the Flames decline because they will have the option of better nearly NHL ready prospects or young players than Broberg.
