I like the trade.
If Canucks throw in a second round 2025 pick along with the first round pick, and Aatu Raty it might work.
But I would remove Garland out caz he’s the best 3 line player, and trading him is a bad idea.

Bad trade for Van imo. Not a big enough upgrade to go from garland to lindholm

Meh, it's not terrible. I expect after Friedman ran his mouth saying that Van looked into him, there's already much worse out there and more coming.
