Not really?

Lindholm - Robertson, Niemela, 3rd
Markstrom - 1st
Hanifin - 1st, Liljigren

Samsonov, Timmins, Kampf are cap dumps and worthless

Flames would get much more trading them individually. This is just a dumb trade but not an overpay

I don't see it as much of an overpayment as you do.

I also don't see CGY trading Markstrom in such a trade. Trading Markstrom would likely involve 50% retention, and a huge overpayment, because it would signify a rebuild, which this team is set on turning into a retool.

You're sending a lot of good assets to the Flames, everyone except Samsonov and Timmins are decent pieces. That said, If I'm selling my :
- #2D - 26 y.o, that's on pace for career highs offensively
- #1C - I know he's a #2 on most teams right now, but he plays 20mins a night in all situations
- #1G - he's going to receive Vezina votes this season
Then I would be looking for a player that is, or can turn into a first line forward, or a top pairing D.
