Not unlucky with goals.... he lost the snap in his shot and the accuracy. Also the fact he has less space and time to score because the Caps have no creative centerman for him.

Ovie needs to change his game...to garbage goal scorer and stand in front of the net. Once the great Brett Hull lost his shot, he went downhill just as fast as we're watching Ovie.

He's leading the team in points because the team sucks offensively, not because he's been good.

The shot, while not his best, hasn't been the biggest problem and he's been incredibly unlucky. Not only does he have 4 goals called back due to various ticky tacky calls, he's got one of the lowes goals above expected, he's not getting the bounces. You're right on with the center aspect, Kuznetsov has been abysmal at creating plays, so it makes it harder for Ovechkin to carry the load.

He'll reach ten tonight and get his bonus so I've let him stay on the board. He's also seen more actual game time than the rest of the guys on the list so I felt he warranted a grade.
