Minnesota declines and flames decline to send the 2nd so leafs decline to send the first why make it so complicated?

Minnesota just extended Hartman for 3 years, And he's not waiving his NMC Especially not for that pathetic offer.

Martin Jones to Carolina could work, if his performance is still the same as he was with the Leafs.

Cuz I don't think Treiliving just offers up the first. He already stated it is unlikely the Leafs move it so the only scenario I can see in which they do is either for a player with term, or with at least a 2nd round pick coming back.

Why trade Jones??? Jones is an iffy NHLer, Samsonov is iffy, and Woll is injured. Leafs need all three and hope at least one, probably two play well.

The idea is if Sammy regains his form, which he very much could given how well he played last game, the Leafs move Jones once Woll is healthy so they don't lose him on waivers for nothing.

Once Jones cleared waivers in October, a don't believe he can claimed on waivers by another team, unless the Leafs wanted to agree to a claim. Either way a 6th rounder is nothing
