Celebrini team

Created by: Thunander
Team: 2024-25 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 25, 2024
Published: Jan. 25, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I’m making this because it’s fun, it’s probably very unrealistic, I have been a fan of the nhl for just a year or two now don’t hate.

This is if Minnesota tanks and gets celebrini and builds around him and kirill.
Building both for the future and to make a deep cup run, playing somewhat defensively however.

Genuinely curious to know why you think Brodin should have the C - seems like everyone wants JEEK, Zucc, or even Faber if Spurgeon were gone.

Also, you would need two more players to round out this roster. Teams usually get to and stay at 22 or the max of 23.

I just like Brodin as I know his mom and he’s a relative of mine, otherwise probably would want Ekkers. I do however think Brodin should have a shout for an A atleast if ekkers would get it or Zucc left.

Thinking back at it, I doubt Jonas would even take the C

Very cool. Yea it would be fun to see Brods get an A even if (agreed) it is doubtful he ever gets the C. He is an important top-4 piece on the team and now the longest tenured active Wild player other than Spurgeon.

Do you think Minnesota would be willing to retain a bit of Spurgeon's contract for a bigger haul? I think expecting any team to be interested in a 34 year old 7.5 million dollar player who keeps getting injured is a bit unrealistic. But maybe if the Wild retained a bit a team would pick him up at 5 or 6 million

Yeah, retaining ~2 million would probably be more realistic, even though you would probably get even less in real life, maybe a 2nd and a 3rd or maybe only a 2nd and a 4th.
