Tampa is a team you still have to respect because the main core is still there.

They have Cup winning experience and know how to grind out games in the playoffs.

A multiple Cup winning head coach behind the bench.

Even though they've been stripped of their quality depth the past few years does any team really want to face them in the first round?

I certainly don't. 😬

Vasilevskiy can still steal playoff series.

Tampa reminds me of a big, beautiful house.

Everyone stares in awe of it.

But the closer you get you see the cracks.

The paint coming off.

The leaky roof.

You open the door and there's no furniture except an old piano and a covered up sofa.

You still have to respect them though.

If you don't they can still beat your ass. 😬

Music to my ears. Beautiful grin

I'd love to see they sign Stammer in Giroux-type contract while taking advantage of the tax. 3x6m.

Extending Hedman two more years. One last run with the core and hope that the cap goes up enough to stay competitive.

Kucherov, Hedman & Stamkos would run out of contracts at the same time. After that it's time to rebuild properly

Never know what happens, but in case they are not competitive anymore - turning all three into assets would be poetic. wink

Oh yeah I'm fully expecting Stamkos to take a retirement deal and stay in Tampa.

6 years/6.5 mil AAV?

Seems reasonable.

It's in the ballpark I think.

Most like what he gets, or hopefully at max similar to Pavelski with a 3x7.

Like the addition of Arvidsson as a right shot forward on basically a prove it or lose it kind of contract, worst case he gets shipped out at the deadline, though a full season without hockey has me questioning where he's at physically and if he can still perform in the top six. Daniel Sprong is also an option, and Merela could be as well.

Personally don't see a need for old guys like Wheeler cluttering up the Bottom six, let the youth play, that's why we moved on from Perry, Bellemare, and Maroon. Also Glendening should stay at C taking the draws, it's what he's here to do anyways.

Will be an interesting off-season
