Ideal set up for next year
Great breakdown.
Personally, I see that they are trying to shop all four dmen with NTC's. Could Parayko waive and go to a Canadian team? They would be lucky if they can move two but will be difficult.
I would also like to see that they move on from Binnington and gets someone from free agency. It's one of their rare assets besides Buchy that can get them a first rounder. It's sad but they should try to suck next year. Maybe even try to move Saad.

Oh for sure he will.
This post is to be meant to show that they should support him as much as they can to cash out when he hits the goal record, and then finally start rebuilding and move on from Carlson, Jensen/TVR, Oshie, Martinez in this case, Kuemper, Dowd and maybe at somewhere in future sell Strome for assets because his contract is so good (I mean when all the listed before have been dealt).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LivingAnew</b></div><div>From a Hawks fan's perspective... I think Marchessault would be a terrific match with Bedard. Without having any concern about the cap ceiling AT ALL for a couple years (and maybe even needing a big contract to reach the cap floor) I'd try to sign Marchessault for 2 years at around ~$8mm AVV.
With Marchessault as Bedard's RW (and Taylor Hall as his LW) the Hawks might not only get a glimpse of how good Bedard really is, but could also really aid in his (Bedard's) getting even better (barring significant injuries, of course). Bedard's ALREADY been terrific by himself, on what effectively has been an AHL team this year.</div></div>
I would love this. Another fit could be Stamkos with 2x overpayment.
Both of those guys have one the cup so there is a chance ;)

Depends a lot of Hanifin. If he takes a small discount as Vegas is a low tax city it should be possible as Martinez comes off the books.. Hertl will result Stephenson to move on - Hanifin replaces Martinez. Marchessault is a big questionmark

i hear your point. Debrusk has been defensively great this year so his overall game has developed.
He would be 32 when the deal ends and cap going up it's fine. He would have a top 6 role in SJS for sure. SJS needs a winger when they get Labanc, Barabanov and Hoffman off the books

I have no clue. Watched him here in Europe when he was a youngster and have to say he hasn't been able to use his tools what made him a pick that high... Frustrating
Also, Suter last year in playoffs was horrible.. He needs a smaller role in playoffs.
Those two above are the reasons why i'd really like to have both Walker, and Seeler

I'm not Sharks fan lol.. Sharks are fine with the structure. They suck as they should and will get a high pick. Obv, STL has good pieces for future
I'd rather have Hertl, Couture, Vlasic and the rest of the roster basically UFA's at this point than having your whole defense signed with NMC. At the same time that's the price you pay after winning the Stanley and trying to stay competitive.
It's funny that in case STL goes to playoffs this year, they are all good as they could kick it for one more year

Could probably get Novak for the same thing (who id rather have)</div></div>
Could see that happening as well. Value for C's might rise. Will be really interesting to see how the center market is as so many teams are still in the mix.
Laughton, Dowd, Sturm, Eller, Henrique, even Granlund and TyJo, Girgensons, Kunin, Wennberg, Novak, Blackwell, Carpenter, Sundqvist, Bellemare, Boyd, Mittelstadt, Faksa, Goodrow, Frost, (RyJo).
I think all the centers who are available for some kind of not astronomical price are listed above. Not much quality..

Broberg to be added there.
If SJS would get a couple of guys who you named I'd do ten forward rolls.
Berggren, Broberg, Wahlström would be amazing to see performing in big roles after TDL (and affordable)
I hope we move as many guys as possible. Personally I'd love to see Couture moving which is unlikely but he really has deserved his shot to win a cup

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Tampa is a team you still have to respect because the main core is still there.
They have Cup winning experience and know how to grind out games in the playoffs.
A multiple Cup winning head coach behind the bench.
Even though they've been stripped of their quality depth the past few years does any team really want to face them in the first round?
I certainly don't. 😬
Vasilevskiy can still steal playoff series.
Tampa reminds me of a big, beautiful house.
Everyone stares in awe of it.
But the closer you get you see the cracks.
The paint coming off.
The leaky roof.
You open the door and there's no furniture except an old piano and a covered up sofa.
You still have to respect them though.
If you don't they can still beat your ass. 😬</div></div>
Music to my ears. Beautiful :D
I'd love to see they sign Stammer in Giroux-type contract while taking advantage of the tax. 3x6m.
Extending Hedman two more years. One last run with the core and hope that the cap goes up enough to stay competitive.
Kucherov, Hedman & Stamkos would run out of contracts at the same time. After that it's time to rebuild properly
Never know what happens, but in case they are not competitive anymore - turning all three into assets would be poetic. ;)

May as well just keep him.
My Hanifin trade is Bergy, Maatta and a 1st but was informed that's not enough.
That's rental Hanifin.
A signed Hanifin would be much more obviously.
I'm starting to wonder about Soderblom?
You'd think he's a future Tim Kerr or Cam Neely according to CFACGM Red Wings fans.
Untouchable.
But where's his game at?
He doesn't seem to be lighting up Grand Rapids?
Maybe Yzerman will keep being patient with him?
Or could he be available in the right trade?</div></div>
Soderblom has taken a step back I feel. I saw him as a possible top 9, first PP guy front of goal with all the flashes he gave last year.
Have been following him here in Europe and he was so good in Frölunda. His route seems to be blocked also next year... hate to see it.
Getting Hanifin signed would be great... If Määttä would be included in the deal
Hanifin-Seider
Wallman-Petry
Chiarot-Holl
Edvinsson-Rafferty
I wish they are giving a legitimate chance to Edvinsson in top 4 next year

Possible targets
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>Not interested in giving up futures for rentals that are not needed.
They need a long term top 6 C, top 4 LD. Unless they are doing that they are better off keeping their limited future assets rather than give them away for mediocre rentals when there is no room in the top 9 to begin with.
Every year 12-20 teams buy at the deadline for a playoff push or cup run. Every year all but 1 fail and would have been better off just standing pat.
This team has no business trading just for the sake of trading. Trading futures for middle 6 FW rentals that are not needed is a mistake. Maybe a physical 4th liner.
But any player they bring in either sits or sends someone to the bench and the lineup is strong enough that Heinen has been relegated to the 4th line. Don’t see the need to go out and add unless it’s to fix the big problems or a significant injury happens in the next month.</div></div>
Who would you want them to go after for the 1/2md line center role and with what return?
A physical 4th liner would be a nice addition as well.
Chychrun for top 4 LD? Do they have the assets?
