I think Lindholm for Byram is a pretty good trade for both teams, assuming Lindholm extends at a reasonable AAV, but I don't know what direction the extra pieces should go.

Flame fans seem to think they will get the return they would have gotten for Lindholm at last trade deadline at this trade deadline and reality is Lindholm is having a down year AND he is a pure rental he has no extra term so the price goes down! If you wanted max value should have traded him at last deadline to allow a team two bites at the apple not one.....

I know we're into Feb now but hey, I was surprised and impressed with what Conroy got from Vancouver for him. If it was the Vancouver deal or Lindy for Byram one for one, I'd take the Vancouver deal. Either way, I like what he's been able to do so far!

Anyway, where are the Avs going to go now? Would they take a chance on Morgan Frost? Try and pay less for Scott Laughton? Convince the Caps to retain half on Kuznetsov?

Laughton has been on Avs radar for few years so I think that is possible... Frost fits style wise better IMHO... Adam Henrique is a name im watching with Avs they talked to Ducks last year about him. kuznetsov would be same issue as Ryan Johanson too slow at this point of their careers.

Fair enough and agree on Kuzy.. also that Frost fits the Avs style. If I were giving up a 1st rounder in a deal, I'd rather give it up for Frost than the older, already-know-what-he-is Laughton, but Henrique probably fits the Avs needs best out of this group.

Casey Middlestadt is a 2C I also think the Avalanche would be very interested in if he is available... I think yanni gourde is the fall back option at 2C he would fill the 2C role for this year and next and the 2nd line would just be a pain in butt to play with Lehky and Val on his wings back checking the hell out of guys and with good speed.
