I think Canucks need a center prospect, so throw in Beck on top of all that and then I believe it's fair

Really? A top 5 pick, a #2/#3 D and two 2nds? Seems more than fair imo. That top 5 pick alone is worth a **** ton.

They’ll get their centre with the top 5 pick.

I agree but vancouver is ready to compete now, so I bet they want a prospect that's a little ahead

Definitely. Only other option is including Dach instead of Guhle. Though I will say Dvorak was a 2c under Tochett in Arizona and that was his best seaosn. They have JT Miller who can be your 1st line C and that might be okay until the C prospect (top 5 pick) arrives. Either way they’re going to take a hit when/if they trade Pettersson. Nobody is going to give them a player who instantly replaces his production. Any deal will likely be for futures.

He’d be the best player we’ve had in a few decades and the first 100 point player we’ve had in what, 4 decades?

This does not help Vancouver at all in the position we're in. We lose a PPG center/winger, who plays a very good 200 foot game. For magic beans in the draft picks, someone who will be a 3rd liner for us, and another guy who would be stuck right in the middle of our defensive depth chart. The value alone isn't even close to fair.

A starting point would be the 2024 1st, one of either Reinbacher or Slav, then one of either Guhle or Dach. Opposite positions for the last two here.

But you're a habs fan so I'll assume you'll laugh and say this is far too much.

But Petey is a top 15 forward in the NHL. You don't get those for handmedowns

You think you’re getting a top 5 pick, Slafkovsky/Reinbacher and Guhle/Dach for Pettersson? You realize no player in the history of the nhl has ever been traded for that much? Ever lol.

Wayne Gretkzy, Eric Lindros, Jack Eichel to name a few.

I'm sorry but your teams assets are not worth as much as you think they are lmfao. Anything short of what I mentioned for Petey is completely insane, and if you think that then you are FAR FAR over valuing the assets your team could be trading. You don't get a top 15 center in the NHL for 2 seconds, a top pick, a second pairing guy, and a 3rd liner.

Wayne Gretzky wasn’t even traded for that much (minus the 10 mill because it’s irrelevant, Montreal could give them 100 mill right now for Pettersson if it weee allowed) Hell even if Gretzky were traded for that much, Pettersson isn’t worth even half of what Gretzky was worth… Eichel? Are you out of your mind? He was traded for a 3rd liner and a prospect who was drafted in the teens who hadn’t shown great progression. Not even in the same stratosphere.. Buffalo fans hated that trade and so did everyone. If the Canucks got this return it would break the internet.

You can come better than that man. What you’re suggesting would have to be the offer is insane. Pettersson is a superstar and the cost would be incredibly high, but the offer you’re suggesting exceeds that. Two A level pieces (the top 5 pick and Guhle) on top of multiple B level assets is more than fair. Some might say that is paying a little to much, though I disagree.
