Bud, I think you're living in the past. Most of the acquiring players are middling or worse in 2024.

I just look at our current team @palhal and the amount of giveaways, lack of drive until the third, the inability to close, and really just one guy who can seem to put the puck in. Not a playoff team…

You're right about the Leafs not being a top playoff team, though they did finish in the top 8 last year. But I doubt the answer is acquiring middling players from non playoff teams.
