What would be your ask from NJ? I don’t think Tanev is gonna draw a 1st regardless of interest. I think the Devils would offer something around Kevin Bahl + 2025 2nd + 2024 5th

Yeah, that's kinda what I'd expected. Getting into a huge bidding war for a 34 year old free agent Dman seems like a terrible idea for Ottawa when they're gonna finish in the bottom of the standings. Makes WAY more sense to try and sell him on Ottawa in the summer than pay up for him now.

I'm not expecting anything. I was hoping for a 1st for Toffoli and quite a bit for Zadorov, neither of which happened so I am not rushing to any hopes

Interest shouldn't become acquisition for Vegas imo. If it becomes a bid war I don't think being the highest bidder on Tanev makes sense (Lindholm and Hanifin would be a different story)
