Seattle currently has the 11th worst record in the NHL, Therefore they're not currently buyers and probably won't be buyers. So the Jake Guentzel trade isn't happening. Plus if he wasn't going to accept that deal with Pittsburgh then he's not taking it in Seattle.

What does Jakey want to get paid? 10+ mil?

Also Blues would hopefully take that. Swapping the players as is would already be something that is plausible, but if the Pens retain 1M I would hope the Blues take that.

The article has nothing about him not wanting to be here, only says that he allegedly got offered 6x8.5m and rejected it.

I’ve also seen that he loves it in Pittsburgh, so imo just wait and see what happens, they truly can’t lose him if they wanna compete, so i doubt he gets moved and id be surprised if he doesn’t resign but like i said just wait and see i guess,

Blues would absolutely think about this, especially if the Pens retain anything on Smith. Smith is not a bad player and with retention would have less term and cap hit than Saad.

Saad is also a very expendable part of the roster.
