Hard to predict what happens with Devils in February…and what we would do with Toffoli. The trade seems reasonable enough to me…but I think we would ask for a dman in there somewhere (Broberg or Kemp…maybe).

Or depending on how retention would work on Brown’s contract, EDM retains 50% there NJD retains more on Toffoli and both teams split the overage charge.

The bonuses have already been booked (minimum GP bonus…not like ELC bonus that can be relative to team). So I don’t think any of the bonus would travel…still gets tagged on EDM books.

How about neither. Toffoli is a slow goal scorer. If you note the Oil already have lots of that with 2 50 goal guys, a 3rd on on pace for 50 and 25 to 30 for the next 2 forwards.

Then speak with the oilers fan proposing a trade for Toffoli.
