Hard to find a better player with a lower cap hit than Ceci on 2nd pair. Elc players excepted of course.

Oil gotta say no.
They would move Drai for cap problems and are not going to want to bring back more salary than his next contract will cost.

Below average defense must mean something different to you. Last time I checked. Oilers are in the top 10 in goals against. With a team goal differential of plus 56.
Broberg is fine regardless of haters in the calgary fan base. I also notice you have no proof of anything stated.

Would you care to back up that hot take with some stats?
He hasn't gotten much time in the NHL due to a historically healthy dcorps in Edmonton during a time when they are chasing a cup, so rookies have been left on the farm. While in the NHL his advanced stats are solid.

3 1st for 2 years of Andersson? No thanks.
Better to move kulak and keep broberg. Ceci if needed can be moved at the deadline Ala Barrie.
Also need just under 4 million to cover bonuses.

Having Fun
From Oiler land this may not be as silly as you think.
Drai has 1 year left. Then you look at the cap situation and they may have 3 contracts to negotiate that will be 10 mil plus to go with Nurse and his 9 million. 45 million in 4 players. That makes for tough team building unless your fine running an ahl bottom 6 and bottom pair.
There is a real possibility that if the oil get bounced early he will move at the draft. Returns would need to be mostly young players and a pick for a sign and trade out east.

moving dowd n mantha
This is a one stop for the oiler needs and a reasonable offer. I would accept as the price is reasonable.
Mantha as a 2nd liner for Draisaitl and Dowd to help the bottom 6 and pk.

So you would want a first for Eberle? Oilers say no chance.
The 2 players have similar stats and both are ufa.

Fuel to the fire
So a 2nd right d on a good contract plus a top 10 pick dman plus another 2nd for Tanev? No thanks. Everyone thinks broberg is getting traded but he is just mad at his situation. He hasn't gotten time since last deadline mostly because the oiler defense has been super healthy. He will play for the oil and not get traded. Besides the injury history is strong with Tanev.

How about neither. Toffoli is a slow goal scorer. If you note the Oil already have lots of that with 2 50 goal guys, a 3rd on on pace for 50 and 25 to 30 for the next 2 forwards.

With Petterson they moved a total of 6 million. This would be 17 million in total salary. Not even a close comparison.
Not saying they will pay but 3 1sts is not out of the question as the price.

Not quite that bad, Yamamoto, foegle and kulak would do it and allow space to sign million dollar contracts for the bottom 6.

What is Brobergs price
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LordStanlersCup</b></div><div>yeah I wouldnt move colton for broberg I was trying to see if there was a possible way of getting broberg without giving up colton, I think a 3 team trade would be possible. We have the assets needed whether we need to trade howard, thompson, etc. however just not what the oilers would want, they want NHL ready players but have no cap to take them on which is making this trade difficult to make. Its not going to happen but Im just trying to see if its possible.</div></div>
Very frustrating for Oiler fans wanting more too. Only trades with same or less cap coming to Edmonton will even be possible. IMO the only thing Broberg is moved for will be a top 4 right defenseman and Ceci will have to be part.

That's a not likely from edmonton. Prospect pool is too shallow to pay to move contracts. Also Holland is unlikely to admit a mistake when many goalies rebound in the 2nd year with a team.

Oilers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vikhodush</b></div><div>He gets moved if he doesn’t like the offer canes give him, not if he wants to go to UFA.
Assuming he’s willing to extend elsewhere on his terms the market for him would be pretty robust I expect. Would imagine a first in the 10-20 range this year and a high prospect would be the framework of a trade. Either that or a player swap for top 6 help.
If he says he only wants to go to UFA and won’t sign anywhere then that obviously changes everything but I haven’t read or heard that to be the case at all.
I think he’ll end up sticking in CAR (4x6.5 is my guess) so it might be moot anyways. I could see CAR actually moving Skjei over pesce once all the dust settles.</div></div>
Fair enough and thanks for the opinion. Puts him way out of the Oilers price range.
