Canes pass. Pretty much next years first for Pesce which doesn’t do much for them.

Just out of curiosity, how much is 1 year of Pesce worth? He only gets moved if he decides he wants to go ufa next year.

He gets moved if he doesn’t like the offer canes give him, not if he wants to go to UFA.

Assuming he’s willing to extend elsewhere on his terms the market for him would be pretty robust I expect. Would imagine a first in the 10-20 range this year and a high prospect would be the framework of a trade. Either that or a player swap for top 6 help.

If he says he only wants to go to UFA and won’t sign anywhere then that obviously changes everything but I haven’t read or heard that to be the case at all.

I think he’ll end up sticking in CAR (4x6.5 is my guess) so it might be moot anyways. I could see CAR actually moving Skjei over pesce once all the dust settles.

Fair enough and thanks for the opinion. Puts him way out of the Oilers price range.
