Non-prospects? Juulsen isn’t a prospect but he’s a 26 year old right hand D who’s proven effective as a bottom pairing guy who can also kill penalties. Silvos is a legitimate goalie prospect who projects to play in the NHL. I don’t see this deal fitting Calgary’s needs but both have value as trade pieces.

It's been reported that that 10+ teams are interested in Tanev, a 3rd and 4th aren't going to come anywhere close to getting him. Also both of those picks are already involved in the Lindholm trade. You are not wrong about waiting until 2026 for a 2nd and 2 non-prospects being bad but you are definitely wrong on the second part though

Juulsen and his 100 games in 6 seasons with 3 teams, is more of a waiver wire pickup than has much more value than a 5th. And the goalie, while just 23 yrs old, is a former 6th round pick and certainly, a prospect, probably not worth much more than a 4th at best (but ultimately CGY dont need a goalie), ultimately they dont carry value to CGY
