Description
Im sure MTL would want something else from the rangers (Like Othmann or Perreault) but i just dont see that happening

Ducks trade zegras for a few players and pick that could help out in 3 years time when all of that duck talent grows

Hope and pray Demidov falls to 5

That PP1 is gross

From what I have seen online the opinion was that there was some animosity between the front offices which might make it difficult for a trade. I have not seen anyone say that the teams will absolutely not trade with each other. I am sure if something were proposed that made both sides happy the individuals would put aside their respective differences to try to make their teams better. Otherwise, those guys should not be doing their respective jobs if they are going to be so juvenile/petty.

Don't think it's reality to think Zegras gets traded for a pick with protection that could be 3 drafts away... A 22 years old, 20 goals, 60+ points guy under your control for at least 4 years will warrant more going their way.

Yes. A GM's mandate is to build a winning team.
That often means doing things that are uncomfortable in order to build the roster you need to achieve that goal.
If I'm an owner and my GM is unable to maintain professional working relationships with his peers, that person will no longer be my GM.

That said, we can acknowledge the possibility while still holding discussions over potential trade ideas. The likelihood of two parties connecting on a deal doesn't mean end of discussion.

As for the proposal itself, Monahan's value isn't necessarily increased because of the Lindholm trade. What it will do is help solidify his value. A 1st is even more likely but adding Kakko is a stretch.

This kinda post really upsets me. Why post deals that NHL GMs would get fired for making? There is no doubt that if Drury did that deal for Monahan, he should be fired.
