Montreal retains half on Monahan. All three picks become 4th rounders if Colorado advances to second round. All three picks become 3rd rounders if Colorado advances to conference final. Montreal already owns the 2024 2nd. There is no 2024 3rd or 2025 2nd.

Outside if that, I truly hate this setup. Avs get upset in Round 1, and Montreal gets a bag of pucks vs what they could fetch otherwise.
Edmonton, Vancouver or Winnipeg could all very well beat the Avs 2nd round .
