If they sell, that would probably do it

I definitely would not. The 1st is deferred and we've sold our best realistic trade offer for two wingers and deferred draft picks. Maybe that's just me, but letting Vancouver get out of this without giving up a 24 1st OR a young Dman is not appetizing, as nice as it might be to have Lekkoman.

Can't imagine VAN goes for this anyway. It's a lot.

You get hung up on stuff being deferred too much. Van might be worse next year . Live a little

Hell no to that STL trade, if we're giving up Lekkerimaki then Guentzel or a young guy with term better be the return

Guentzel is injury prone and is either a rental or an expensive contract for a winger in his 30s. Buchnevich has an extra year.

Who's this young guy with term you have in mind?

Idk of any who are available but I will personally assassinate Patrick Alvin if he gives up a first and Lek for a player like Buchenevich.
Also, while Guentzel may have some injury problems he's always available and always a monster in the playoffs.

I think you're underrating Buchnevich. He's awesome and would be an incredible fit here. He also comes up big in the Playoffs.

Buchenevich is a good player but giving up Mikheyev, Lekkerimaki, a 1st, 2nd AND 3rd, that's a package for a true superstar, if that package goes to St Louis it better be Robert Thomas coming back the other way.

Yeah, because they're worth less. And we're not in a teardown down. Picks down the road is the last of our needs.

VAN shot their wad on another Elias

IOW, they chose Lindholm over Buchnevich

No from Blues
