I'm really confused...what are the Sharks getting out of this? They're giving up their final salary retention slot for a cap dump in Reaves and a player on LTIR who won't play for the rest of the season/his contract.

Agreed. There is no incentive for the Sharks. Also, the Leafs don't need to trade Klingberg since he's on LTIR and won't play the rest of the season anyways. They could try to offload Reeves but not for a first or for Minten.
