Not sure what made you think anyone here is mad, but you do you.

I’m not sure I said he plays any particular way. He plays like a 22 year old kid who has proven elite production for his age, and while he has a ways to go with his 200ft game, he’s undoubtedly progressing in that area.

      I.e in my humble opinion:
Elite production for his age (which I think we can agree based on that short list of centers) + progression in off-the-puck play for a 22 year old (for which growth here is normal for a 22 year old, and if you’re watching this year, it’s honestly just outright evident) = blue chip.

If blue chip means Bedard to you, then I’m with you, he doesn’t meet that threshold. But if it’s a player in the top 5 of quality coming out of a draft who’s highly impactful then that’s Zegras. Maybe we just agree to disagree. Wish you (and your badass Bruins) well my man

i looked through the draft for about 8 seconds and found 10 guys i'd rather have than zegras. don't get blinded by the points and the cool stuff zegras does. he's not a core player in my opinion.

uhhhh off the top of my head it was hughes, seider, dach, byram, pinto, caufield, Boldy...there were definitely some others that might be considered a stretch. i'm a fan of holmstrom for example.

i think those seven are all clearly guys you'd rather have than zegras.

Hughes and Seider no doubt. Dach I totally get. To pretend there’s anything ‘clear’ beyond that is again you showing some true colors.

Byram’s 43 games this year are the most he’s been able to stay healthy for. Hopeful for his ceiling though

Pinto has 47 NHL points in 105 games. Come on now.

Caufield is 5’7 on a good day, plays W instead of C, and hasn’t topped 43 points in a season (he will this year). He’s in the same realm at least (unlike Pinto), but no.

I kinda love Boldy personally so I get that one. The break to me comes down to W vs C but I can see this one at least

Holmstrom is not even in the same stratosphere, and Isles fans would agree. This one’s just funny honestly

I think I’ve gotten good enough picture from you here. Some people come to grow their opinions, other people just come to share theirs. Both are perfectly fine, but I see where we’re at. Good luck to your Bruins this year friend

lol why are you so defensive? I just see winning hockey from some guys that i don't see out of zegras. this, "ohhhh i've seen enough from you," routine is pretty lame. I think all the players I mentioned have the capacity to be core pieces for a stanley cup team. I don't see that from Zegras, which is why I wouldn't call him blue chip. Don't agree? That's fine. I think the Ducks fandom might be making you a bit defensive here, which is understandable...but ditch the high and mighty act.
