Yeah it's a lateral move, but I don't share your logic here. Isn't it better to try something, than do nothing? Although your team is winning, it isn't necessary to be experimental, is it?

I think there is a difference between preemptively solving problems and being experimental. If iafallo was causing problems that his teammates were covering for then yes it would be a. Good move, but you shouldn’t just change stuff to be experimental when you are playing well.

There's other things to consider, WPG is looking to have a deep playoff run, while PIT has to fight hard for the spot. Reilly Smith has much more experience, and he's proven to be productive in playoff, so that might be the benefit for Jets.

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to help Pittsburgh out by taking on a bad contract.
