Same as the title, what if Hank wanted out of New York?
– The way I see it, Henrik is already 35 years old, and appears to be on the decline a little bit, so the dreams of getting the moon for him I think are unrealistic. Calgary is a team that's looking to win that Stanley Cup, and despite just picking up Smith, I think they would be receptive for swapping him for a clear upgrade between the pipes, the biggest hole on their team since the retirement of Kiprusoff. Calgary doesn't have their 1st because of the Hamonic trade, but they do have some intriguing prospects they could part with that New York may be interested in with Rasmus Andersson and Morgan Klimchuk.

We might be able to get some prospects from Henrik if he wanted to go now, but I don't think we should force him out or even when he's coming into his final year or so, I don't think we should trade him for a bunch of crap, let him retire a Ranger, he deserves that!

If Hank wanted out, I'm sure he would want to go more of a " sure thing" than Calgary. Calgary has cap issues too and to retain and Hank and to take back more money in a trade doesn't seem feasible.

If Hank wanted out, NYR don't trade Raanta. Even if he did, he's not waiving his NMC for Calgary. This is flawed everywhere.
