I never thought -- never, ever thought -- I would say this about a Habs-fan-created ACGM, but I believe that every single one of these trades is within the realm of reasonable possibility.

In particular, I'll differ for once with my esteemed friend @GeneralLandro by saying that I would accept something like Montreal's 2024 first, Justin Barron and something extra for Trevor Zegras (IF in fact he's on the table, which I firmly believe that he's not), so the fact that you have added Dvorak is balanced in my mind by the second. As you say, it's only for one season (although it's hideously under water).

I think we should find a way to move one our surpluses to get ANA a RHD prospect instead of moving Barron however, this still looks fairly good.

Habs better off keeping their own pick…. Maybe for Jets 1st … but then again they can use these assets to target less overrated players

Debrincat for #7, #39 (2022 picks) and a 3rd (2024) with .083 p/g at the time with two 40 goal seasons and a 30.
Zegras has 0.73 p/g including two 23 goal seasons. He's not worth more than Debrincat was.

Remove Barron and assume our pick is top 10, and that has to be enough (with or without Dvorak). If it isn't, draft or look elsewhere.

Debrincat was forcing his way out by saying he wouldn’t sign. OTT had very little leverage. If you don’t want to spend more for Z, that’s fine. You just wouldn’t acquire him

If Zegras is available it's because the team is not willing to commit to the player, so it would be a similar reason (but reversed).
If Zegras is not available, he's not worth the price it would take to change that (which is basically what I am saying).

I'm talking about the Chicago trade btw.

Your last point is accurate, we can agree on that.

For the CHI trade that’s a fairer comp, should’ve caught that based on the compensation. And that’s pretty much the value we’ve been saying.
