Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I don't care. Avs are in trouble. Mackinnon could possibly be out. Shutout by panthers. 0-3-1 since all star break.

This is what they need to to do.

The way the roster should be as of right now. They need to get ryjo and olofsson out.

Lekhonen mack moose
Drouin colton parise
Wood meyers LOC
Cogs pavel kirivanta

But with the trades this is how it should look. They upgrade 2nd line spot and 4th line center spot

Can't wait until effin macfarland does something

Yes, agreed, but I'd hold onto Olofsson. Guy has been a good 4th liner, he's just not much of a center.

LOC meyers Wood
Cogs pavel olofsson

Since you like olofsson. I would do this bottom six until trades are made. Bednar needs to switch it up.
Meyers and pavel can't Be any worse then ryjo and kirivanta.

Jenner is on point for 37P. Doesn’t really scream the 2C you give up a top 4, 22 years old, potential first pairing defensman for. Nevermind adding a first and recent first round pick.

I get that Jenner has other apsects that makes him valuable (mostly to Columbus). But come on.

I agree that the Avs need some help though!

My package deals would be kuraly Jenner as you

Or flyers Morgan frost and Ryan poeghling

Nashville Novak and trenin

Or sharks granlund and Sturm.

That will upgrade the depth down the middle over ryjo and olofsson

I would not be inclined to move Byram for any of those packages (neither seems the Avs FO since the rumor is they declined a Byram for Gauthier swap and he holds more value than those packages).

Poehling just signed a new deal with Philly. But how about Frost and Laughton (50% retained)? Would be a hefty price to give up, but right here, right now, the frustration probably takes over and i would do it. Probably unlikely that Philly would like to retain on Laughton tho.

Swap Trenin and add Sissons at 50% retention and sure, go for it! Probably unlikely that Nashville would like to retain for so long.

The Sharks one is an absolute no for me.

I'd take the Nashville deal. Agree with @LaTornade that the Philly package should be Frost and Laughton

I'd probably consider the Philly package you propose and definitely the Nashville one. Agreed on the Sharks one being a no......which probably means that'll be the one we end up with lol.

The more i think about it, the more i like the taught of two C’s. A borderline 2/3C with a low cap hit for 2 years and some untapped potential and a high end 4C with retention and able to play up the lineup if needed.

Haha! Yeah, you’re probably right about that. How about Granlund and Sturm for the 2024 first, RyJo and OO. A nice little overpay for two C’s in a hot market..
