Leafs really shouldn’t sell him unless it’s a quality T4 D who isn’t a rental coming back. That’s the only situation we deal him in a package, unless there’s an offer that blows us away.

Pretty much, would try aiming a bit younger though (would be willing to add on to him for the right player)

They’re shopping him in talks for a centre. The need for a centre upgrade is more needed than Robertson is. His time has kinda run out in Toronto. He produces a bit offensively, but is a liability defensively and still plays too much of a junior style game. There’s a reason why the coach doesn’t trust him and Treliving has never been too high on him. They’ve been trying to include him in trade talks all season

They are trying to salvage assets before hes even more damaged goods.

Hes played a grand total of 124 games since the start of the 20-21 season. Theres been 271 leafs games over that span.

Turning 23 in the fall realistically hes one more injury away from being worthless (and he gets injured a lot). Its already a difficult sell as a 1 way 5'9 winger whos not super productive so far in his nhl career.

    Essentially wishful thinking.
