A long way away. The Avs need to trade RyJo for a minimal cap hit in return if at all (they'd also need to have added another C or at least have the deal accepted in principle), and the Avs can't afford a back up goalie with a 2.2 mil hit next year.

Makes Sense, let’s say they acquire Mittlestadt or someone and want RyJo gone and are happy with what they’ve seen of Vladar in the past

Why would we want Johansen? We really aren't that desperate for a center

Because he’s a Big Skilled Centre who would be a Good 3rd Line Centre between Huberdeau & Kuzmenko and because he Wins Faceoffs and would be Good on the Power Play and the Cap change would only be $1mil after you consider bringing Wolf up

If we can turn his game around like MTL did with Monahan, maybe we can flip him next year for a decent asset, given Centres are valuable

Unless we are being paid to take him on I see no reason to do that. He just causes more of a logjam for our young guys.

He's definitely fallen off skill wise and I don't think he's that effective on the PP either. All he does in Colorado on their power play is stand in front of the net trying to pop in rebounds, and we have Kuzmenko already who is better at that.

Again I have no issue if we are being paid to take him but otherwise no thanks
