Depth Shopping Deadline

Created by: KennyBoi
Team: 2023-24 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 10, 2024
Published: Feb. 15, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Send Forbort to PRO for cap relief, unlikely he gets claimed off waivers anyway.

My target for cheap scoring would be Duclair. Not doing great this year, but it's a bad SJS team in general.

Then need to target a 4th line winger for toughness/depth.

In the case of injuries to a dman (during regular season), send Beecher down to make caproom for a call-up and play Boqvist at 4C.

Can I interest you in one slightly used Dominik Kubalik?

I'd retain 50% for a 5th round pick.

I think 3RD is a need for this team, they obviously don't like/trust Shatty with him in and out of the lineup.

I would also keep Frederic in the top 6 until he plays himself out of it.

Hopefully the 4th line can figure out what they are, a hard checking line or an energy line. I would like to see some grit there.

I think it's more about giving Forbort reps coming back from injury then it is about Shatty not playing good. The emergence of Wotherspoon also plays a factor to that.

I'm fine with giving Frederic top6 minutes until the deadline, but I think they need another player with speed and skill in the top6. Frederic on the 3rd line here makes it a big line that will grind defenders below the goal line.

Ya Beecher needs to be the 4C. Great at the dot, big and has speed. He does still need to learn positioning away from the puck defensively, but that's why you put heinen on that line. NAK is also good defensively, plays hard and has good foot speed. Will give that line energy.

Kubalik could definitely be an option if BOS gets outbid for Duclair. That offer would be max I'm comfortable with for Duclair.
