A top 3 dman in the league is a lot more valuable than Bratt (and that’s nothing against Bratt, he’s great)

Not only that, but we’re also giving up the third best player in the trade in Suter, and also trading our backup goalie with the only other decent piece coming back that’ll help us being Miller

No shot the Canucks do this. This team would have zero playoff success with that defence. Oddly resembles another Canadian team out east that has amazing forwards, one great offensive defenceman and a bunch of 3rd pair guys, only difference being this team has a better goalie. Guess how this strategy has faired for that team in terms of playoff success? Terribly, so why on earth would the Canucks model their team after a strategy that has proven to not work time and time again.

Especially with Cal Foote of all players. This trade made me lose some serious brain cells.
