Pens Sell WHATS YOUR OFFER

Created by: Pens3lieve
Team: 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 16, 2024
Published: Feb. 16, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Pens now are a very long shot to make the playoffs...

Considering Jake Guentzel is eligible to come off LTIR 2 days after the Trade Deadline, i think there's still a better-than 50/50 shot he's traded.
I've seen thousands of JG trade offers, but genuinely curious if any of the penguins other players are attractive to other teams.

Fans of other teams: drop your trade proposals down below not just for Guentzel but also these players... (my best guesses/speculation of teams that MIGHT be interested)

G-Alex Nedjelkovic (EDM, NJD, CAR, TOR)
RW-Rickard Rakell (NYI, WPG, LAK)
LW-Reilly Smith (VGK, LAK, DET)
C/RW-Noel Acciari (TOR, BOS, COL)
F-Colin White (TBL, FLA, NYR)
RD-Chad Ruhwedel (TOR, DAL, VAN)
LD-Pierre-Oliver Joseph (VAN, SEA, CGY)

-Assume PIT is willing to retain in moderation and also take $ back to make the deal work.
-Assume PIT wants 1st round picks, NHL players under 25, and Close-to-NHL-ready prospects
-Assume PIT would keep Pettersson, Jarry, Rust (NMC), Carter (NMC), and the Big 4

If Dubas is just re-arranging the deck chairs, I would think Rakell, Graves, Smith, Ned, and any depth dman or forward is available. Guentzel too if he is not re-signed.

Los Angeles wouldn't be interested in Rakell or Smith due to cap and contract considerations.

I would love if Wpg would be interested in Rakell. He would provide some much needed scoring depth on the right side on our third line. The only problem with Rakell is he has 5 years left on his deal at a pretty high number.

Not sure Vancouver would be interested in POJ. Ruhwedel is nice but probably wouldn't pay more than a 7th for him he'd be the #8 dman in Vancouver

3 way trade Between Pittsburg, Edmonton, and Zona

Oilers get : Smith (50% retained 25% from Pittsburg and 25 from Zona) and O'Connor

Penguins get: Oilers 2024 1st, Lavioe, Foegele, 2025 4th rounder

Zona Get: (25% of Smith Retained), Tullio from Oilers

Does this seem fair???

Guentzel will be out almost 2 weeks following TDL.
Who really wants Guentzel WITHOUT #87.....LOL
IMO keep him. Way overrated.... absolutely nothing about his game is ABOVE AVERAGE, except his Centreman. #87

Yeah the contract is long so PIT would either have to take a sizeable contract back or retain for several years which would drive up the price for WPG

Honestly depends on how dubas feels about lavioe I might rather have tulio but value is definitely fair I say… like I’d take that for sure… I do wonder about one thing, like if Edmonton and Pittsburgh are trading, and Edmonton is giving up their first round pick, why would they not be wanting Guentzel?
