Description
-Saw a couple posts trading for Kempe, is he available possibly after the season? Been a huge fan of his game and would love to add him.
- The trade is just what would be the centerpieces, Boston would have to add more Im pretty sure. Just curious if kings fans think he’s available.

Not available.

Even if he was it would take a premium offer

I highly doubt he’s available. He has great production on a very team friendly deal.

The recent influx of Kempe related ACGM’s is likely because of a trade idea that Jeff Marek has recently been pushing on his show. His proposition was Kempe for Saros in some capacity.

As last night's game indicates, Adrian can be a game-changer. I think that it would take an awful lot to bridge the gap between him and Ullmark, especially in light of the fact that Adrian has two seasons left on his contract and Ullmark only one.

If an Ullmark to the Kings deal happens, I believe it would be with PLD being involved.

I personally don’t see any deal happening between these two teams.

Wouldn’t even send PLD to be honest. He gives the Kings an advantage at center depth and has been playing very well with hiller as HC.

He was always seen at practice, prior to TMac being fired, talking with hiller and working with him. Not surprised he’s not been floating in games since the change and has been one of the best Kings after the break. Don’t think it’s a coincidence

To be honest, I wouldn’t want PLD’s contract. I view him as primarily responsible for the issues in Winnipeg’s clubhouse last year

Feel Boston can do better than him in free agency and secure a return from Ullmark if they choose.

You view him responsible but you don’t have a true clue Im guessing.

Bet you don’t beat the same drum to meires horrible contract. They’ve had a similar career path too. Timo is 2 years older too with a higher contract

8.5 won’t look so bad in 2 years. Even if PLD got 7.5 he’d still get the same crap from fans.

Also kings really didn’t give up that much. Vilardi was the best piece in the deal by far and he was not going yo play C for LA. I’d make this trade 9/10 times over. Kupari fringe NHLer or bottom six guy. Iafallo, meh lost some pk value but kings are #1 PK so nothing lost. 2nd probably won’t be an NHLer , but who knows. Vilardi, often injured but highly skilled and high IQ. he’s the only one I’d want back but he needed to be in the deal

I think you are rationalizing the return they gave up to Winnipeg. Villlardi looks very good and Iafallo is the type of winning player every team wants. I wouldn’t minimize his loss.

If PLD continues to play like he has this year, it probably costs you something to get rid of him. I don’t believe the Kings are putting him in a position to regain his form. It just seems like a mistake by the Kings.

That said. I could easily see him recovering. He seems like an interesting long term replacement for Kopitar when the time comes if he comes back, which I believe was the primary driver for the deal in the first place

Winnipeg has transitioned to a top team after being what appears to be a mess and the only real changes have been the removal of PLD and Wheeler. Read whatever you want into that.
