Winnipeg has one of the best defenses in the NHL, they have no incentive to severely overpay to make that defense worse.

Seems like a big overpay by the jets even if you view Schmidt as a total cap dump

Do you just say things and hope they are right?

Schmidt sucks and Stanley is a 7D worth pocket change. Both Walker and Seeler are MARGINALLY better than both and would only enhance WPG's D core.

Your only proof of otherwise is the fact that you're bias.

That's what I thought honestly. Adding Walker and Seeler definitely improve the defense, while getting out of a big cap hit and losing a mid 20's once former prospect. A 1st is big, but it's going to be a late one, no where near the lottery, and the Jets are definitely a contender with a goalie like Hellebuyck. I'm shocked that Jets fans wouldn't want to do this.
