Wild are a bad fit for taking a Nelson. Nelson and ek are too similar of centers. Someone might give you a 1st and an A prospect but certainly not them. With work, rossi, marat being signed this week and yurov looking like a 1/2c coming after next season this is the type of move they don’t need. They have the C depth coming along quite well right now. They need high end wings if anything.

Now if it was for barzal you’d have something. He’d probably get 2 1sts and a top prospect.

Depends on what other options the Hawks have with their cap space. There are going to be a couple teams desperate to clear cap space so you may have pay more than you would think. I would want at the very least a 3rd coming with him. Maybe more though.

A 2nd or 3rd could be doable. Especially since his remaining salary is significantly less than his cap hit. But it would definitely still cost the Isles to move him.

I have no idea why MN would want to make that deal, Ohgren alone is too much of an ask for a team that is a long way away from a real cup run. If anything, MN probably sells kaprisov in a couple of years to align with some of our youngsters.

Couldnt think of another team that would trade for nelson maybe the kings but i think nelson is going to be a expensive piece
