No its not.they dont need Tarasenko. they have Lindy playing RW and Boeser and Garland.how does Tarasenko help.did Tarasenko really help anybody in the playoffs last yr.he is old and near the end.

VAN isn't giving up anything of real value here. It's a great move to add scoring depth and injury insurance for the playoffs. He's a total upgrade on Garland.

a 2nd pick is real value,and lafferty has been good although he sat last game. but where your completely wrong is on Garland,the canucks 3rd line has been maybe the best in the league.they dont need Tarasenko.and he isnt taking Garlands spot on that line,and he isnt taking Lindy or Boesers,so he plays 4th line or left wing,again hes not a fit.
