Looking at the many offers from Calgary ACGMs that include Markstrom since Feb 8th. There have been just over 100 of them.
I put them into a few categories:
1. NJD would likely accept
2. NJD would probably lean towards accepting
3. Close Call
4. NJD would probably lean towards declining
5. NJD would likely decline
I am sure some NJD fans (and maybe some CGY fans) will disagree with my views, and that's cool. Let me know what you think....
I enjoy how the list of absolutely ridiculous proposals is triple the size. But hey you start off with the ridiculous ones and then just the normal fleeces don’t look as bad

Some of them are a little light, some are WAY too much, but I believe there are a decent amount of them that are good for both sides, although, I would NOT trade Casey at all for Markstrom if I was New Jersey, so it’s good to see there is only a couple of him in these.

Last I saw was its a done deal, Mercer+Casey+1st+cost of retention, will announced after outdoor game.
I'd prefer not to send Holtz, Casey or any premium assets...but it sounds like Conroy may have gotten Holtz onto the table.

Yes, then you gotta think if it is truly worth it to ship out that much for Markstrom, and one of Hanifin, or Tanev. Hard to say really. If it is Holtz, Casey+, I would want a decent amount of retention, for them to take Vanecek, and one of those good defenders. In theory, Holtz should work one for one if he is on the table with possibly some retention, but who knows.

I think Fitzy has played his cards right here on Markstrom.
Once news came out that Holtz was made available....look at the events that followed....Carolina exited the goalie market, Colorado and Toronto have taken a step back (maybe backups)...Nashville GM does radio show and names Fitzy directly when saying he is open to selling Saros (Preds coach was a fan of Holtz's in NJ)...Marc-Andre Fleury gets linked to NJD....Montreal GM does interview saying its tough market to sell a goalie since no one is buying....Columbus GM fired days after Devils were linked to Merzlikins (no idea if events are related). The whole market has seemed to sway to more favorable conditions for NJ.
More supply, less demand
But if there is a dman attached....I think Fitzy loses his leverage since Dmen seemed to be short in supply, high in demand.
And other teams may want first-mover advantage.
So I think its in NJ's interest to keep the two separate.

More ridiculousness. Seems like they really want to get rid of Markstrom much more than we want him. But they posture as if they aren’t desperate to move him while his value is highest.
“We can wait till the offseason”
But in the next line
“Conroy cannot wait until the offseason”
