First off, I'm pretty sure that would be Montreal's first center.

Now, for the trade value - add Suzuki.

Jackets will decline. You need to add Owne Beck, Filio Mesar or Sean Farell

I would like it to happen, but that is not enough for Johnson.

If Mesar, Harris, Tuch and WIN's 1rst sealed the deal, I'd do it without blinking. I don't think it will though

Ceiling? Maybe... But what I actually do know is that at 127 careers games, Jonhson has 22G, 37A, 59P. After 127 games, Suzuki had 28G, 54A, 82P.

I also know that 3 years later, he's shown constant progress, is our captain and does it well, and is one pace for a PPG season on a ****ty team. And he is on a contract that looks more and more like a bargain each time he touches the ice. So 1:1 Suzuki against Johnson, I'll say no every day of the week, twice on Sunday.

Then, when you talk of Suzuki, an established first line center, as a throw-in in a transaction for a kid who's still proving himself, I am not sure you've paying much attention to how NHL trades work...

point being, this isn't a conversation about raw value. it has to be somethign that gets columbus to want to move the player.
