      Yes and no. While Maccelli is a fantastic young player, Having Gauthier on an ELC would be more beneficial than another 3m+ contract for only 2 years. Now if we were to move on from Cirelli then i would be all for it

      Not moving on from Cirelli. Gauthier I don't think will be ready for the NHL in quite a bit and he probably won't be as good as Maccelli. Macceli provides us help now which we need.

      Cirelli is too overpaid for what he gives us. Hes been a little above average lately but he cant be consistent enough. we paid him for his Selke level defense and hes been everything but that the last 2-3 years. I would love to bring in Maccelli cause he would be the perfect top 6 forward but if Stamkos walks, we need to keep a right handed forward to replace him on the PP.

      honestly just used him as a player that JBB will somehow, miraculously find out of nowhere that is a great player
