I could see it, but the NMC makes it a bit harder to predict a return

I mean I could see waiving for a lot more teams than 1.

Tampa, Florida, Vegas, Carolina, Isles, Rangers at least

oh yeah for sure, a 1st is definitely in play. I just am not 100% confident enough that he wont just pick where he wants to go

Bottom pair maybe but what bottom pair gets a 2 keep him show where they come from too many of these "analytics sights render extremely questionable results at best. Hedman Sergachev Lilleberg Carlisle on the left won't have the roster spots for what we have thanks anyway. TB also isn't in the position to really give him his QO unless they're letting Stamkos walk if he's staying it's basically Stamkos Guys in Cuse and <$1,000,000 contracts

not maybe bottom pair, hes legitimately a good defenseman not questionable in the slightest. He would be on your pp2, pk and is a good player 5 on 5 to boot. This might be selling low on him long-term tbh, hes a legit NHL defenseman.

I was saying and maybe I worded it poorly I think a second pairing is stretching it. . And as edited above the cap next year doesn't favor resugning

i suppose it would all depend if TB wants to buy this year. I think he would pair well with any of the RD options in TB and would be an immediate upgrade on a couple of their LD options. You can argue long-term fit though as a legitimate concern, but i think they could still tender his QO and flip him again. Then if Stammer does leave and the cap presents itself, you have another competent defenseman.

(and side note) but even if stammer were to re-sign, would the capspace not be present for brannstrom (in theory) anyways?
