Offer Sheet Compensation : 7.25 x 6 = 43.5 ; 43.5 / 5 = 8.7

(2) 1st round picks, 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick

Again thats now how compensationworks. Compensation is based on average annual value which is the total divided by the number of years. Its not the total divided by 5.

look it up. it's calculated by the total dollar amount divided by the term (AAV) or 5, whichever is less.

If a deal is over 5 years, you divide the total (43.5) by 5 to find the AAV that is used to calculate the compensation

I like the aggressive approach - I wish NYR would do more of it. But I think that's too aggressive. I also think that deal with WPG is unrealistic.

no, he's right. look it up.
"The amount is determined by taking the total compensation due in the Offer Sheet, and dividing by the number of years specified in the Offer Sheet, or five (5) – whichever is less."
