Somebody help me out... Why is Detroit trading five depth players and then signing a guy who either:

1. Didn't want to play.

or

2. Nobody was interested in signing.

Detroit aren't sellers this year.

No to the Hanifin and Markstrom trade, Hanifin won't sign long term with Detroit. So that offer is dead. And zero interest in a 35 year old Goalie who more than likely will be retired before we're cup contenders once again.
