Description
Kraken fans - let me know your thoughts on this.

I figured a 1st + Prospect (Hirvonen) + NHL Calibre D-Men (Timmins + Lagesson) would be solid return for Borgen while Robertson + 3rd + 5th for Eberle (half retained) was fair and gives each team more of what they need (Leafs need solid playoff type winger and Kraken can use a young, offensively talented forward w Top 6 Potential).

Calling Timmins-Lagesson as NHL calibre dmen is a stretch, both are 8th-9th on the depth chart, and on a club that really wants dmen, the fact that the leafs are throwing these guys in says alot.

Bear in mind that both were picked up for nothing off the scrap heap, and its just 2 contracts you're offering.

The deal is probably fine, but lets not polish a turd and call it gold.

As a Kraken fan, I think the price you have for Borgen is pretty decent, though Timmins and Lagesson are more fringe NHL defensemen than bonafide NHL blueliners in my estimation. However, I doubt the Kraken are going to seriously entertain trading away non-rentals this deadline and they seem to really value what Borgen brings to the team.

As for Eberle, I believe the Kraken could get more for him than what's offered here should they choose to sell him. It's also been rumored that Seattle wants to keep him around and may re-sign him instead of trading him.
