He supposedly rejected a contract because he wants an NHL opportunity.

Which somehow automatically means he's demanding a trade rather than what is literally being said, which is that he wants an NHL opportunity.

      I never said you did.

However you kinda imply it when every argument you made is that you included Berggren because he's mad, and a trade needs to be made even if it's the terrible **** you suggested lol.

Just about every player rejects a contract or 2 when negotiating Its part of the process.

It’s a suggested trade. You seriously need to relax lol.

You don’t like it, you clearly made your point. I’m not going to go back and forth with a child. Cause you’re mad at a simple CF proposal that could easily be refined to make both teams happy.

He’s an RFA there isn’t much negotiation going on. He wants to play on NHL roster and apparently wings don’t have room for him.

My thought is to hopefully get him on LA ship out Kaliyev and or grundstrom make room for the kid.

No I don’t think this actually happens but it’s a thought.

Nah, I absolutely buy that he's pissed. He fit in fine in the NHL last year but gets demoted to the AHL this year. He's almost 24 and stuck in the minors when he's clearly an NHL player.

But, I don't think that means it can't be remedied by making room for him.

Dude youre making sh*t up. You have no idea how much negotiating is going on, whether he's angry or if he wants out. Just stop. Yzerman doesn't leak so you're literally pulling these "facts" out of your a** and then getting butthurt when anyone challenges your narrative.

      Let's analyze...

"Nah, I absolutely buy that he's pissed." - Stated an opinion, therefore not made up bull****.

"He fit in fine in the NHL last year but gets demoted to the AHL this year." - Which part of this is made up bull****?

"He's almost 24 and stuck in the minors when he's clearly an NHL player." - Which part of this is made up bull****?

"But, I don't think that means it can't be remedied by making room for him." - Which part of this is made up bull****?

      Hmmm...

      EDIT: I gotcha now lol.

Just because a player is an RFA it doesn't mean they don't negotiate. There are a coupe of players that holdout every season.

The Berggren trade rumor was started by Pagnotta from the 4th period. Detroit called up Berggren in case Kane couldn't go but Kane was able to go and Berggren was sent back down and since his return to Grand Rapids he has 13 goals and 14 assists. in 22 games. Yzerman's plan for the last couple of seasons was to keep the majority of Detroit's young core to develop and find success as a unit and that's why he has chosen to fill the roster with UFAs the past couple seasons.

This makes sense to me but I could be wrong, because all we know for sure is Yzerman's plan for developing our prospects. Either way it gives a perfectly logical explication for the situation that doesn't involve people being mad at each other. Now we just have to wait and see!

This is stuff that came out in the last week... Granted the source still is Pagnotta, I believe.
