cant see ARZ giving you back their 2nd, in that deal, its only a handful of picks after the TOR 1st.

And if you're not getting the ARZ 2nd, you're not getting Tanev.

And what value do Brodie and Timmins have to ANA? You got Timmins for junk and Brodie, in ANA's eyes, is a cap dump of 5mil.

That is absolutely a fair package for ARI and I think they'd be smart to accept it.

Maybe one of their 2nds, but it lessens the package for the best 2 players in the deal, signed cheaply and beyond 2023-24.

Take out the 5th from TOR and the ARZ 2nd, or make it one of ARZ's lowest 2nds at least, FLA 2nd. The difference between TOR 1st and ARZ 2nd isn;t huge and ARZ is laden with picks, and the picks you're offering are some of the lowest in the round they'll have.

Of course sellers are going to be the ones trading the best players at the time of the trade, but that doesn't make them the most valuable necessarily. That's a significant amount of value coming from Toronto.

But the two guys you mention arent for sale, and ARZ isn;t looking for market value for 2 guys they have cheap and under contract for another year or two. TOR's picks on offer would be the lowest in each round that they have, and when they already have 20 picks in the first 3 rounds in the next 3 drafts, it lessens the value of more picks, especially if theyre late in the round.

Sure theyre sellers, but they are selling at an advantage, they dont need to move either of those 2 guys, or are desperate for more picks. Most of that deal is quality, but ARZ 2nd isn;t too far away from TOR 1st thats all. (But the 2nd to TOR is a must have because the poster needs it to make the Tanev deal work)

Brodie is a UFA and Timmins is no more likely to make the Anaheim roster next season than he is Toronto's, so we're not going to be trading Lyubushkin away for effectively nothing.
