That's not enough for Matheson. I'm all for trading him, but realistically, I think Kent Hughes and Habs management value Matheson a lot more then even Habs fans like myself. Habs would have to be blown away to move Matheson. This deal ain't it.

Didn't say he wasn't. but if we insert him in the Habs depth chart, he probably doesn't even crack in their top 10 prospects. He'd probably be competing with Farrell and Heineman in their depth chart. What I'm getting at is if MTL decides to trade Matheson, a blue chip piece would have to be coming back, and Tuomaala or FLA 2024 1st (which has a high chance of being very very late in the 1st rd) aren't that quality piece.
