Trading Whitecloud would require a better player than him coming to Vegas. There is not a better player than him in that package. Vegas declines, not of interest

The idea here is the Knights have Stephenson, Martinez, and Marchessault all needing to be re-signed with like 3-4 other roster spots with $14M. Shaving some cap space for JBD who is a capable 6th defenseman with more offensive prowess. Whitecloud has a history with Chabot, comes from a Stanley Cup winner, somethging Staios is looking for. I think Vegas bites on it. Provides cap both for this deadline, and for the next 4 years, you get a cheap replacement with more offense, and JBD is no slouch defensively, just need more experience on Ottawa's backend.

We do actually.... You are aware right that it's only a 10-team NTC.... Chicago, Buf, ARZ, CLB, ANA, SJ, etc could also be on there. Considering his list has to be handed in in the offseason BEFORE the next season, if Ottawa isn't on the list as many thought Ottawa was ghoing to be a good team.... Ottawa might not be on tyhat M-NTC. Ullmark doies not own a complete NMC.... He can submit 10 teams at the start of the season he can refuse to be traded to for the course of the season.

Martinez retires, walks, or resigns for the cheap. They have closer to 20M next year when Lehner is put on LTIR again or moved. Marchessault Stephenson and the rest of the roster slots can be covered by the cap available. No they do not bite lol

Lehner just filed for bankruptcy... He definitely plans to play next season.... LV can't just put him there because it's convenient. Lehner has no desire to just disappear after his contract is up from hockey.... He would be an idiot to not want to play next season to at least save something of his career so I do think they bite

I don't really want him.... I looked for what both teams need. Whitecloud plays bottom pairing minutes making almost $3M. Only reason I'm including Whitecloud is because he played well with Chabot. $2.75M for a guy with 2G 7A? Ottawa would be sending a guy who doubles Whitecloud in goals, has 11 points to Whitecloud's 7.... where JBD is a +1 on a brutal defensive team and Whitecloud is -1 on a top team. So you're clearly over valuing Whitecloud. Again if not for Whitecloud's experience wiuth Chabot? Ottawa wouldn't msake that trade.

Man, I'm not sure. I think they'll want to include him as part of a package for a forward either with term already or for one they'll resign. Otherwise he's poised for a full-time top 6 role right now and will take it next year, but is playing in the AHL as the only waiver exempt D

Hmm, curious, Vegas is really stacked on the right side & I would pay a pretty penny for him if i was a GM but yeah he’s probably used in a bigger package for a forward but i would love him on a team like the Leafs, would be great for them but they don’t really have anything you’d be after

Yeah I think something has to give in that regard. Pietrangelo is going nowhere and even if you move Theodore back to the left you can't play all 3 of Whitecloud, Korczak, and Miromanov(who the team is really high on) in the lineup. Also yes, unfortunately Vegas and Toronto aren't a particularly good match to make a trade of that sort
