One or the other, no way the Canes would trade both Jarvis and Necas

The ‘rumor’ didn’t actually name the players the Canes offered. The ‘insiders’ guessed it was Necas and KK.

The Canes wouldn’t have traded Jarvis.

You guys would seriously pass at that if Pettersson came with an extension?

It’s an irrelevant question because it wouldn’t come up. The reality of this entire situation is that the only way it makes sense is for it to be KK+Necas and good futures.

It doesn’t make sense to move Jarvis, keep KK, and sign EP. The Canes can’t have EP, Aho, KK and Staal.

I’ll take the comments about this, but the Canes would 100% reject any legitimate deal involving Aho, Svech, Jarvis, Slavin and Nikishin.

Canucks would have likely wanted a young center as part of the mix coming back the other way. Apparently, Necas, KK, and a first were part of the deal.

And the Canes would have likely even added more

Both your teams are trying to win right now. Necas (who's going to cost $8M next year) +KK (who doesn't have a lot of value with his contract) + picks/futures (not named Nikishin) would not be nearly enough in my opinion.
