Reduce the quantity and increase the quality. That return is awful for Guentzel at 50% retained. Two prospects that are developing like just another guy at best with a late 1st in a weak draft and another 2nd in two years that is heavily discounted for opportunity cost of two years into the future.

I think this would get it done, honestly.

But I don't think Dallas should go after Guentzel. They're stacked offensively already

It’s still a rental price . Going back to 2019, this is better than Columbus paid for 2 months of Matt Duchene

Using an example of a deadline half a decade ago is very disingenuous. It's less value than Lindholm got.

Why do all Dallas fans dislike Nils? Did he do something that doesn't allow him to crack the roster over Jani?

What if they switched Kyrou with Bourque?

His defensive analytics aren’t good. I’d much rather a 6’7 Dman in the playoffs over a 6’1 okay offensive Dman with subpar defensive metrics

Yes he sucked at hockey.

I think that would be far more what Dubas is considering. Especially with 50% retention to a team that is speaking to his agent about an extension.

Watch out for the Pens fans that think they're getting a haul for Gentzel. TDL deals are always underwhelming. I think this is a good return for Pittsburgh.
