There's nothing in that offer really, I'm positive we will have a much more appealing offer elsewhere.

I like the base of Debrusk+ for Mangiapane, I do think the deal would get caught up in retention and ultimately fall through. Unless the extension was in place prior to the deal I can't see Calgary retaining. Interesting thought though.

Cole Smith signed a 2 year extension so he's not leaving.

Tanev's package is around where the value for Carrier should be. The flames pulled the trigger too soon, and honestly didn't get the value they should have. Carrier is a little more offensively reliable, but not as good defensively. I think he could fetch a second and prospect himself. Not to mention you're paying Nashville more because we're in a playoff spot and not actively tanking yet.

Carrier wont fetch similar to Tanev.

A good prospect and a 3rd should be way than enough for Carrier, that is why I also included a 4th line winger (looking for a high hitting 4th liner)....which doesnt have to be Smith.

Grzy is still a reliable more offensive D man that can still play well on that third Pairing for NSH.

At least quote me next time so I can see you responded.

Carrier absolutely could fetch a very similar package to Tanev for all of the reasons I stated earlier. If you don't value him that way that's fine, but his price probably starts with a second and a decent prospect. Again we're in a playoff spot and have no reason to sell low on these guys, if the organization would rather try and get to the playoffs for the gate revenue. Then attempt to resign these guys before free agency.

If Grzelcyk was good enough you wouldn't be trading him. Nashville has no need for any more LD so adding him is not meeting Nashville's needs if we dump Carrier. We'd probably look to bring someone up from Milwaukee to fill in. And unfortunately Nashville doesn't have any 4th line wingers that are hard hitting available. Maybe Sherwood or Trenin. Sherwood hits hard but is smaller and Trenin is more of a shutdown 3rd liner, so his price is closer to a 3rd.

As for the prospect, Nashville's prospect pool is full of wingers as talented as Merkulov is. They'd be asking for a RD or C prospect unless they have someone they particularly like, but Boston doesn't have a whole lot to chose from.
