We need a 2nd line center... like that's the one big need and you didn't address it

I'm assuming a decent amount of Blues fans go for this. It's obviously a lot of value and I do like the pieces. I just don't love them. I don't know. I'd have to think about it for a while. It's a good offer, no clap there. I'm just super picky with Buch, because circumstances dictate I can be.

Bjugstad would be an unnecessary add to be the 4C

For that package, Armstrong even can do 50% retention.

I don’t follow the Canes enough to know. Has Morrow indicated he’s going pro after this year? Are there any concerns about him wanting to ride it out to FA?

Could definitely see him pulling an Adam Fox

Always start to worry when you haven’t heard anything and they’re almost done with Jr year

He just hasn't been happy that there hasn't been a place in the organization... they're will be now for him so I expect him to sign this offseason

They’ve gotta close that loophole. Honestly, I would love for them to make it like an auction style with the starting a pick of the same round the player was drafted.

So if Morrow didn’t want to sign a team would have to offer at least a second but could offer more. Then the highest bidder with the worst record could obtain the rights. The team losing the player would recoup the draft capital and probably more and the player loses the power to pick a team but could still go to a new team if desired.

I agree... but we own his rights until after his senior year. If we don't deal his rights then I see us signing him at some point

Where have you seen he is unhappy? When he was at training camps in the summer I read that he felt he could improve his game (particularly the defensive side) by staying in college and he wanted to also play with his brother at UMASS.

I could've sworn that I remember one of the people who follows the canes prospects saying that he wasn't happy with the lack of place for him in the organization but that might've been a different prospect. I still think it's a good idea to get him on ELC at the end of UMASS's season no matter what

Could be, I admit I don't follow prospect news all that much. I agree that signing him this spring is the right move!

I think him and Jackson Blake will be signed to ELCs and given NHL roles in the next couple of years
